Job Description

As a Quality Environmental Health and Safety (QEHS) Manager, you will work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment supporting the creation of products. In this role, you will be responsible for site leadership in quality assurance, environmental, health and safety compliance. This position is responsible for understanding and implementing strategies, systems and programs to be executed by site leaders towards the goals of zero health and safety incidents, customer needs and requirements to develop effective quality control processes. You will also play a critical role in creating and reviewing quality specifications of the products produced while monitoring quality standards of the quality team.

What we want you to accomplish:

· Ensuring continual quality and safety improvement within the facility

· Develop, implement, and monitor QEHS plans to meet the standards and goals of the company

· Be responsible for managing the day to day inspection process and reassign staffing as needed

· Incorporates quality and safety practices to improve efficiencies and meet customer needs

What You'll do on a Daily Basis:

·     Act as the site Champion for Quality and EHS initiatives

·     Attend daily morning meetings to discuss quality and safety issues or concerns

·     Manages and supervises group leads and quality associates by communicating job expectations, planning, monitoring, and appraising job results

·     Initiating, coordinating, training and enforcing systems, policies, and procedure to meet organization quality, safety and production goals

·     Maintains safe and clean work environment by educating and coaching personnel

·     Ensures quality of products being made by establishing and enforcing organization standards

·     Provides quality and safety incident numbers by compiling, initiating, sorting, and analyzing production quality performance records and data; answering questions and responding to requests

·     Resolves quality problems and safety incidents by analyzing data; investigating issues; identifying solutions; recommending action to Department Mangers

·     Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed·

·     Presents new hire and site-specific training for quality and safety as needed

·     Manages the Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA) record keeping and reporting for the site

 

What You'll Bring to the Table:

·     Proven experience in quality, leading a team of employees in a manufacturing environment

·     Experience as an active participant in building a strong safety culture within a manufacturing environment

·     Ability to work with diverse teams of employees and customers

·     Superior understanding of quality management practices

·     Ability to learn on own initiative

·     Ability to communicate clearly, both in writing and verbally, with people at all levels

·     Proficient in MS Office, specifically Excel

·     Excellent math abilities and working knowledge of data analysis/statistical methods

·     Ability and willingness to present trainings to large groups

·     Ability to execute procedures in stressful situations

Education / Certifications Required:

·     Bachelor’s with at least 3 years in a quality or EHS function

·     Ability to speak Spanish is a plus
